The track all-rounder
System DELTA-Lager® is an innovative rail support system. The different dimensioning of the elastomer profiles and brackets makes it possible to achieve a deflection of up to 10 mm. Despite the high level of deflection, the horizontal head displacement is low (< 2mm). The design meets all the necessary criteria, such as creep resistance and electrical insulation. System DELTA-Lager® can be designed for all loads in local railway and intercity services and is another solution that provides impact protection and dampens vibrations. The component parts of System DELTA-Lager® are designed to fit in the bearing of the W-type attachment typically found in Germany, making them ideal for retrofitting sleeper tracks. The spring elements support the rail under the railhead. The brackets are the bearing elements through which the load is transferred to the body of the sleeper.
If steel base plates are used, the bearing can also be used on wooden sleepers or for slab tracks.
The elasticity minimises the wear on the railhead. This means a longer service life than is usual with standard trackbed systems.
